Clarence River Wilderness Lodge is a spectacularly wild and remote off-grid holiday destination, situated on the headwaters of the Clarence River in the rugged Great Dividing Range.
Leave the digital world at the gate while you reconnect to nature, your partner, your friends and your family as you sit around the campfire by the river. Your kids will enjoy having the freedom to ride bikes, swim, canoe and explore the bush like kids have always done.
With over four thousand hectares of river crafted country preserved in a wildlife refuge that is noted for the diverse abundance of its native animals and the wild splendour of its scenery, it’s hard to believe that this forgotten pocket of Australia is just 3 hours from Brisbane!
Whether you’re after an environmentally sustainable and off-grid holiday destination, an affordable digital detox, or a back-to-nature family or a group camping trip, your hosts, Sharon and Stephen, warmly welcome you to our wilderness retreat.
If you’d like to experience this incredible pristine wilderness for yourself, Clarence River Wilderness Lodge offers families, groups, couples and individuals a range of affordable accommodation options within this pristine wilderness area, including cabins, tree huts, bell tents and camping grounds.
We also offer exclusive hire of Clarence River Wilderness Lodge for groups of up to 100 people for celebrations and get togethers such as weddings and birthdays, as well as for corporate events.
The Clarence River Wilderness Lodge is proudly eco-friendly, sustainable and entirely off grid! We use solar power, composting toilets, encourage minimal water use, and practice bush regeneration. Our minimal impact policies are all part of what keeps Clarence River Wilderness Lodge so pristine.
We built this wildlife refuge to protect the riverine wilderness and help bring people closer to nature and away from technology.
