Corporate Group Activities

Investing in team building exercises on a company retreat is a great way to build your work culture and create a stronger team of happier and more connected employees.

At Clarence River Wilderness Lodge we offer a variety of group activities and team-building exercises for your group.

• Canoeing – your exclusive hire includes free use of our canoes in the flat water hole at the lodge, however we can also facilitate group canoe tours, from half-day trips up to week-long, all inclusive tours.

• Gold Panning – Gold was first discovered here in 1857 and alluvial gold can still be found on our property. If your team would like to pan for gold, we have gold panning equipment available for you to use.
• Stand Up Paddleboarding – SUP’s available for hire at the office.
• Wildlife Encounters and Birdwatching – As a wildlife refuge, we are home to many rare and endangered native species as well as over 160 different types of birds.
• Four Wheel Driving – There are a series of old logging tracks on our property suitable for four wheel drive adventures and a number of specialist four wheel drive parks nearby.
• Bushwalking – Our many walks range from easy riverside strolls to challenging climbs. As well as the established tracks we have 4000 hectares of wilderness to explore.

Nearby, there are also many other natural attractions to visit, including waterfalls, rainforests and National Parks.

Accommodation, Food and Other Facilities

Your exclusive corporate group hire of the entire Wilderness Lodge, includes the following accomodation options:

• 6-berth cabin with kitchen, wood heater and ensuite
• 4-berth cabin with kitchen, wood heater and ensuite
• Two double bed tree huts with kitchenette and ensuite
• Two 4-berth tree huts using shared facilities

We also have bell tents for hire that include a comfy double bed on timber base, bedside table and woven floor mats, or you can bring your own tents too.

The shared facilities for tree huts, bell tents and campers include composting toilets & gas-powered hot showers.

Our shared camp kitchen facility and eating area is equipped with a fridge, BBQ, gas burners, all cooking & eating utensils and a wood-fired pizza oven.

If you don’t want to self cater, there are a number of local catering companies that will cater for your corporate retreat, and we can also organise a pizza night for you.

We can arrange the hire of extra tables and chairs and will work with you to arrange a corporate retreat to suit your company’s needs – just let us know what you need!

We use solar power, composting toilets, encourage minimal water use, and practice bush regeneration. Our minimal impact policies are all part of what keeps Clarence River Wilderness Lodge so pristine.

We built this wildlife refuge to protect the riverine wilderness and help bring people closer to nature and away from technology.
